Anonymous Interview Candidate in Austin, TX
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Emerson (Austin, TX) in Apr 2018
There was a phone screening and an in-person interview. The in-person interview was a bit tedious because you meet with five people separately. A lot of the questions were asked by multiple people. Everyone was very friendly and incredibly nice. They recognized how long the interview was and every person offered to let me stop by the restroom and get water before meeting with the next person. After the in-person interview, it took a month before I found out I would not be receiving the position.

Interviewed with HR Representative, Hiring Manager, Director, and VP. Interview was an average amount of time. It also had the average question that are usually asked. What made the experience negative was no feedback was given when not offered the role and the application I had to fill out was in paper form (this is what they preferred).

- How do you communicate with executives?

I had a phone interview and was asked how my Excel skills were, what systems I had experience using, told a little about the company and the specific business unit. I was called back within 2 hours to come in for an on-site interview. The process is 1 phone interview and 2 on site interviews. I met with 2 people for an hour each.

1 Phone interview with HR and then an onsite interview; 2 panel
- Lots of questions that required examples of prior experinces. Such as "tell me a time when you did a project that had some analysis and in the end you had to make a decision - how did you determine which decion to make - be specific" Very few easy questions such as - strenghts.

A few different phone interviews, flown across country for a full day of interviews with a handful of different people and then flown back that night. Got formal offer a week later.
- All interviews varied drastically by interviewer. As I was coming straight out of college as my first job most questions were focused around me as a person and my work ethic nothing exactly technical.
