    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Esri (Redlands, CA).

    Interview

I was told I was being interviewed for a UI Design position for a special project, and that there were 3 positions they were considering me for. From the beginning, I was told there would be 3-4 phone interviews and then an on-site interview if they went well. almost 3 months and 6 phone interviews later, I was finally flown out to Redlands for an on-site. It was an intense day, where I immediately did a technical interview and then gave an hour-long presentation of my previous work, then did 5 more interviews in person. They told me they would let me know the following Monday or Tuesday whether or not I would get a position. Instead, on that Monday, they asked for an additional phone interview that week. It was then another week and a half before I finally heard that they did not have a position for me at the time. The whole process took about 4 months. Thankfully, by the time they finally informed me of this, I had already determined that I didn't want to work there.

    • One that stood out included an hour-long session where I was asked to explain as much development terminology and technology as I could.   Answer Question

    Technical Support Analyst Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Esri (Redlands, CA).

    Interview

Process took about a month. HR contacted for a job at Support and set up a preliminary interview on phone. The first interview was basically a normal 'what would you do in these situations' types. Second interview, about a week later, was a technical interview. Interviewer lets you research answers, focuses mostly on Esri technology, usage, and implementation. This interview was followed by an HR call a few days later to set up an on-campus interview and set expectations about salary and benefits. A week later I was called for a full-day interview at the Redlands location. The interviews were really fun. Nothing too technical but interviewers were amazing. They got back to me a week later to let me know I got the job.

    Accounting Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Redlands, CA

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Esri (Redlands, CA) in July 2017.

    Interview

I was referred by a recruiter, the interviews went well and I was given every expectation of moving forward - then dead silence. Esri did not even respond to the recruiter who referred me. They left everyone hanging and wondering what was going on. Very unprofessional, left me wondering if they were really looking for someone or if the recruiter's just trying to stay busy or compile market salary surveys. Very poor way to end the process. It's a shame because this was a very intriguing company. The folks I interviewed with all seemed very nice.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Esri (Redlands, CA) in January 2017.

    Interview

Applied Online, Process took about 3 weeks.Technical Phone Interview, followed by interviews with Qt Runtime SDK software engineers, originally the internship was for testing and debugging the Qt platform for Runtime SDK, yet they referred me to the back end portion involving graphics rendering. Very fun interview, interviewers asked questions related to C++, Qt, ArcGIS, Runtime SDK, and about projects on my resume. Overall I enjoyed the talks with the team, very unique people, and very caring about your schedule and experience. I got the offer from them a some time later, yet I turned it down for a fulltime position with Intel. If I hadn't gotten an offer from Intel, I would have definitely stuck with Esri.

    Interview

    Phone screening, on-site interview, offer.

It was a perfectly smooth interview process. The people in HR are well organized and respectful. I was referred by a friend who is working there. After a month, I received a phone call with classic screening questions. Later, I had a technical phone interview followed by an on-site interview.

On site took around a full day. I met with several manager who asked me more general questions about my background. I also met with team members, they asked me some technical questions about my programming experience. There was also a 1.5 hour code review session where they projected the code of one of my previous projects and analyzed its quality by asking questions.
