    Project Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EverBank Financial (Jacksonville, FL) in July 2017.

    Interview

Recruiter set up an interview based on a generic role description, it turned out to be a wrong role description. The manager started an interrogation before he had a chance to explain the role. He also forgot to mention there was another person in the room. So, no idea with whom I was speaking. They cut abruptly at 30 min, hardly any opportunities for a two-way discussion. At the end he uttered: the project management is good but we need 'full stack".
Clearly, I was interviewing for a different role and this hiring manager is the kind of person I would feel comfortable working with.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at EverBank Financial (Jacksonville, FL) in March 2017.

    Interview

Called right away about interview with HR, then i had a hiring manager phone interview and then in person with hiring manager and his peer. That all went well, they told me I would hear shortly and then radio silence for 4 weeks. I then heard from them again to have two interviews. The last guy asked if I would be able to be a "jerk" to get things done and that's when I was positive that this was not the company for me.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at EverBank Financial (Jacksonville, FL) in September 2016.

    Interview

I initially applied online and then was contacted by a recruiter, who asked almost nothing. the next step was a panel interview with 4 people at once in the Jacksonville, FL office . Somewhat intimidating, but not too terrible. questions were about my resume, and behavioral. "Tell me about a time you failed, tell me about a time you had to be a leader etc. practicing normal behavioral questions will prepare you. no offer, as I was not interested in accounting, just investing.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at EverBank Financial.

    Interview

Going directly through the company's application is a major pain because they use the same terrible type of job system that most other large corporations use. While this might be fine for entry level positions, it should not be used for higher level positions.

Received an email from a recruiter requesting a phone call within a few days. Recruiter was great and was supposedly dedicated to tech, which was a nice touch. Phone call was quick with a high level review of role, hiring manager, etc. Then scheduled a call with hiring manager.

Call with hiring manager didn't go well for some reason. Questions were the classic "tell me about yourself", how many people have you managed, do you have XYZ certification or experience. Was then asked for salary requirements.

I asked for feedback and wasn't really given anything. That's never a good sign. As a hiring manager, i made a decision early in my career that I was going to give it to people straight. I expect the same. I can take a no... there are plenty of opportunities out there that might be a better fit.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at EverBank Financial (Jacksonville, FL) in May 2016.

    Interview

I went through 5 different interviews, from HR Phone, to department in person and multiple VP interviews via the phone. I was eventually informed I did not receive the position, even though I was "the only candidate that matched or exceeded the requirements", but was informed that "you are not a cultural fit for this department".

    Interview

The application process was a bit of a pain. Lots of answering redundant information from your resume. After the application process I worked with a member of HR to schedule the interviews. First up was a phone interview which lasted about 30 minutes. A few days later there was an in person interview (panel style) with 3 or 4 people which went on for a little more than an hour.
