    EMT Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Explorer -1 Ambulance & Medical Services (Compton, CA) in May 2016.

    Interview

Sits down, asks you about yourself, then asks questions about Mass Casualty Incidents, tagging patients etc. What is the point of triage? Answer, assessing most viable patients. He'll then point to a manikin and say this is real, this patient is in cardiac arrest. Obviously you begin CPR, but then he'll tell you to place an airway adjunct which he didn't have nor did he make available... Things like this are very common and eventually will start to get annoying. He'll then tell you that all the bad things you've heard about this company aren't true and that they're many disgruntled employees ruining the company image... Please know I don't say any of this out of spite, but rather I just wish I had known prior to seeking employment. Also he advertises his company off Craigslist.. Probably not the best way to get E.M.T.'s

I started the next day. He also asked me a question about diabetes. He already knew he was going to scam me, so the interview didn't really matter.
