I think it's this FATHOM. Didn't apply on LinkedIn, can't remember where. Email didn't include job description. HackerRank, 1 leetcode easy to medium, 1 leetcode medium to hard, 1 http get. 90 minutes.

1. Hackerrank 3 Coding Questions 2. Recruiter Call - Mainly gauge on why you want to join the company and if your fine with working long hours (understandable as its a startup in growth stage) 3. Live Coding Round - Focusing on clearing communication and working code. 4. 1st Day Onsite - 2 coding rounds were conducted similar to (3) and one design round. 5. Feedback from recruiter stating reason for rejection. Positives: Coding rounds were well conducted and were leetcode medium level. Based on feedback from recruiter, had cleared all rounds successfully with clear communication and readable code. Negatives: Very poorly conducted design round with no clear indications as what they wanted to test. Based on feedback received from recruiter, just basis a 30 min single design round, they found me shortcoming. Disheartening to see that after spending over six-seven hours of interview time with them, they make short sighted decisions. Advice: Rather than conducting leetcode style questions invest in making a decently difficult take home test which will test candidates true capabilities. Be clear as to what you desire in design rounds and if that is your primary criteria, conduct multiple rounds on that rather than make ignorant decisions based on a single round.

I was contacted through a job site and given a hackerrank test. Then I was contacted for a recruiter screen. The next day I was rejected the next day without feedback.
- One question making api calls and sorting the results. One question about finding anagrams One question about dam design that required use of dynamic programming.

starts with a recruiter call, followed by a coding challenge, then technical screens and manager chats. overall a pretty normal and straightforward process, nice people and easy to talk to

Spoke to their Lead Recruiter and she asked basic questions around my experience. Then she went on to say how their hours are 10am-7pm and it is to be expected to work these long hours, since they are a startup (huge red flag, no regard for work-life balance); She rushed through the whole interview, firing questions off, no follow up questions or allowed for any dialogue. I didn't have any time to ask any questions or understand their culture better. One of the worst interviews I have ever had, plus the company seems to pay less than average and are in hyper-growth stage right now, which in this economy is definitely a huge red flag.
- Why do you want to work for a startup? Why Fathom?

1 phone screen, then a coding challenge, then 2 technicals and lastly a final presentation if the technicals go well. Overall great process, super friendly individuals and streamline interviewing process.

Literally one of the worst interview experiences ever. Recruiter reached out to me on Angel to schedule an interview. I had a call with her where she explained that software engineers work at least 10 hours a day and this position requires that commitment (already red flag). After a 30 min chat about expectations etc. she told me I'll receive a coding challenge. Coding challenge was 3 questions on Hackerank and I completed all and passed all tests in allocated time. Emails recruiter it's been completed. No reply. Over a week later emails recruiter again. She says the team has been busy rolling some feature out to production so will get back next week with next steps. Never hears from them for TWO MONTHS and literally two months later recruiter emails me being like, we would like you to schedule your next 1 hour live coding interview and give us availabilities for possible final interviews.... by then it has already been over a month since I've found employment and assumed the ghosting meant no longer interested in me..... so unprofessional

Aced the three phone interviews and on-site and was finally rejected without feedback. Clowns. High stress, disorganized office. Poor work life balance. Relatively accomplished staff, though. Little respect shown to interviewees especially considering they're invited speakers (a presentation on a technology topic is required).

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fathom (Edmonton, AB) in Feb 2020
I received a connection request from the Co-founder/ CTO on LinkedIn, who set me up with the team for an interview. I was scheduled to do a phone screening with one of the recruiters, who was about 15 minutes late. I was asked basic questions about my skills, background and experience. Then what role on the engineering team I was interested in - back-end, data or infrastructure. No technical question was asked. I have a strong technical resume, about 9 years of SW engineering practice at reputable tech companies, a CS degree and a certificate in AI all from prestigious Canadian universities. Two days later, I get an email from the recruiter that unfortunately, they will not be proceeding with my candidacy.

I completed a technical screen online and a phone screen with a recruiter. The online technical challenge was super enjoyable with a variety of more practical coding questions. Something that surprised me was that they require their SF engineers to be in the office specifically from 930-7pm each day (with the exception of Fridays where there is a happy hour after 6). That didn't quite work for my schedule and knowing so earlier would have saved me from considering the company. As of the time of writing there were no women on their engineering team in SF, and I would guess from the work schedule no parents either.
- On the phone screen with the recruiter, they asked me if I'd be willing to work in the SF office from 9:30AM to 7PM each day - they require their engineering team to do so.
