Compliance Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Boston, MA).

Interview

I was screened by a sourcer and then discussed the position with a team lead, who had the most impact of my understanding of the position. I then was asked in to meet with the department manager and the department director (seperately). The interview included a resume rehash and asked for my interest in the position. They did not seem concerned with someone that had the talent, but rather the previous. experience

Interview Questions

  • They continually asked me if I would be willing to do menial work and essentially were testing me to see if I would be looking to leave if the work wasn't glamorous. Despite my constant reassurance that I wanted to enter into their workforce they still seemed skeptical.   1 Answer

Reasons for Declining

I did not believe that they were concerned with providing training or development, but rather with finding someone that would simply do the job and nothing beyond.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments.

    Interview

Long process. Not a lot of communicating by recruiters. I heard from the hiring managers more often than the recruiters. Interview process made sense, but there was a long lag between rounds, with no communication about the status of the hiring process.

Once an offer was made, things moved much faster. Recruiters were very responsive and followed up frequently.
