I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Five Guys Burgers & Fries (Puyallup, WA) in January 2016.

    Interview

Phone interview lasted about two minutes, only asked a few questions. Two in person interviews scheduled three weeks apart. Very unorganized and didn't ever call back on-time. After meeting Owner, District Manager, and General Manager, no contact after final interview, even after I was told I would be contacted within the week.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Five Guys Burgers & Fries (Dallas, TX) in January 2016.

    Interview

First came a phone interview which lasted about 40 minutes. Then there were 2 in person interviews. All the interviews were very professional. Each of those lasted about 45 minutes. I was asked the normal questions about my work history, why I left my last job, why I wanted to work for 5 Guys Burgers. I was then called back for another interview with the Area Manager which lasted about 40 minutes. The Area Manager was 30 minutes late for the interview that I was 45 minutes early for. I was there for a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes. I drove a total of 400 miles to different locations for the interviews. I was never given a call back to let me know either way on being hired or not. Very unprofessional. Area Manager being late for an interview is very unprofessional. I think I dodged a bullet on this one. I can only imagine how they must treat their employees.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Five Guys Burgers & Fries in October 2014.

    Interview

Was contacted by who later became known to me as the REGIONAL MANAGER for an interview. The location was about 30 minutes from my house. I was a bit deterred by the distance but I headed out anyway. After at very brief interview, with two people at once, I was told that there was a position open closer to my residence. I was told that I would receive a call from the hiring manager at that location in two days. After a week I decided to make a follow up call. I spoke with the gentleman that initially interviewed me for a status update and was told that the person whom I was expecting a call from was actually with him at that very moment and that I could meet with her at her store location for an interview. I arrived for the interview, introduced myself and we began discussing my qualifications. The hiring manager was VERY impressed with my knowledge of the business and how I articulated my experiences. She was very honest with me by telling me that she WAS NOT going to contact me for an interview but decided to meet with me because of my continued interest. I was ultimately hired as an assistant manager when her location was only interested in acquiring a shift lead!!!!

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

The general manager was not prepared to make an assistant manager offer but after becoming familiarized with my qualifications, offered me 100% of the job market value of a Five Guys assistant manager position.

Sent my resume in, and did a phone interview with a recruiter, then met with the district manager and was brought on board right away. The company has high turnover so they will take on anyone who has a pulse.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Five Guys Burgers & Fries (London, England (UK)) in September 2016.

    Interview

Interview with Recruitment Coordinator and Area Manager & Trial shift.

Attended a trial shift. Had a brief chat with the GM who was late and was told to help make the burger patties, clean & scrubbed the tables and floors.

I then moved to the fries section with some joker. He spent 20 MINS with me, then spent most of the time fooling around & then disappeared and left me to it.

NOT ONE manager came to check on me.

Later on a really rude female manager looked at the fries pulled her face and told me to get off the section. She had no idea, I was on trial shift. When I told her, after a few minutes, she pointed at the door and said "You shift is over".....

So spending an hour making patties, an hour scrubbing the floors and 3 hours making fries really constitutes as a trial shift?

I was not offered a position because "I fell short my leadership and engagement skills"

How was feedback given to the recruitment manager from the managers when half of them didn't even know I was on trial shift, and the other two working the kitchen didn't even engage me??

    Beyond a joke...

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Five Guys Burgers & Fries in September 2012.

    Interview

The interviewer was late by a half hour. He greeted me, put his things down, and went to the back to talk to the employees. The interveiwer seemed disinterested. It was rather dis heartening to then sit there with a smile on my face and answer his questions. It was not the best experience. However, I still smiled and gave the interveiwer great answers to his questions.

    Interview Questions

    • The problem was, he only started asking me questions about my history in management when I aske about how the store does. In other words I felt like I was promting him.   Answer Question
