I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flipkart (Bengaluru) in Feb 2016
Interview
Summary -
5 rounds - 1 Business, 3 Product , and 1Tech.
Total time - 7 hours in one day.
Interview process was smooth, yet tiring. You are made to sit in one of the meeting rooms. Tea, water, washroom everything was within reach and available. Wait time between rounds can be longer (upto half an hour).
Interviewers cut to the chase and start asking questions 2-3 minutes into the interview. For me, the most tiring bit was having to explain what I do and my background to every single one of 5 interviewers.
Questions were mostly difficult relating to your own background as well as popular products. Tech round was particularly long. Almost every round involved heavy sketching, calculating, and charting on whiteboard.
Tech round is NOT a coding round. Infact, it is designed to judge your technical aptitude. Knowledge of APIs, popular tech stacks, and tech metrics would be sufficient.
Completed multiple phases of the interview process, including initial HR screening, recruiter discussions, stakeholder alignment sessions, case-study evaluations, and user interviews to assess communication skills, project management capabilities, problem-solving approach, research experience, and overall role suitability within cross-functional working environments.
