    Account Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fyber (San Francisco, CA) in October 2018.

    Interview

I submitted my resume through a referral and within days an interview was set up. The initial phone interview was with the recruiter and it quickly moved forward with another 30 min phone interview with the hiring manager. Following that, I was asked to visit the office for an on-site interview with 5 team members (30 mins each) with whom I would be working very closely with. Lastly, I had a final interview with the President/Chief Business Officer that was about 45 mins. The interview process was incredibly swift and professional. Altogether, the process took 3 weeks and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. I appreciated the honesty and transparency throughout the entire process.

    Interview

Smooth transition from TA Specialist to HR team in SF. Transparent team that went over high's and lows (which you'll find any any company). Met with different hiring managers who went over their open positions and gave some great insight on industry.

    Interview

The interview process started with a phone screen and then I was invited to come in for an in-person interview with the team. After that I had two more phone interviews with remote employees. It was good to meet the team I'd be directly be working with, and I felt they were really looking for the right candidate based on experience and culture. They were able to work with my schedule and were mindful of my time (aka no day-long interviews) which is always very appreciated when looking for jobs. Overall, it was a positive process!

    Interview

Started off by applying through their online portal. Contacted by a HR representative from SponsorPay's Berlin office and scheduled a phone screen. The length of the phone screen was about 15 minutes and resulted in a face to face interview with the director at the regional office. Director was very helpful and engaging.

    Sales Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fyber (New York, NY).

    Interview

Had a great phone interview first. Was told a lot about the company, some info on revenue growth and direction. Heard back that day from the recruiter about next steps.
In person interview was very different. Seemed to want to undermine or devalue success. I think their challenge will be getting visibility in the NYC market which is very NYC centric and campaigns in other countries, with different demographics and attitudes, are not always seen as equal currency here.

    Interview Questions

    • There was really anything I didn't expect or hadn't encountered in other interviews, although the vibe in person was very different from the one encountered on the phone   Answer Question

    Solutions Engineer Interview

    Interview

First step was phone interview. Lots of process delay since people are living in different timezones. Second step was Google Doc share with someone to answer basic questions about mobile development, MySQL, etc. One week past and I emailed the recruiter status update. Was told before interview ended that I will know after a couple of days. The reply of the email was that after one week I will know. So I've been ghosted. Very negative experience overall.

    Vice President Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Fyber (San Francisco, CA) in August 2015.

    Interview

The interview process is very disjointed. You spend only 30 minutes with each person and they really do not explain in any detail what the company does. They also change the people that you will be interviewing with at the last minute so there is no way to study the background of each person.

They are also not upfront about the position that you will be filling. I was told that I would be running a group only to find out that I would be entering in that role competing against the person who has held the role for 3 years. This shows a very immature management team that they would put a person up against an incumbent who has not performed in 3 years.

Also, they will push you to accept an offer in 48 hours.

    Interview Questions

    • Really were asking more about what they need to do in the industry. This should be a red flag, as they have very little understanding of the ad tech space, where it is going and how they fit. They did not even know who they needed to be partnering with. I think that since they were bought by a German company and senior leadership is German they don't understand the US market which is where a majority of their revenue comes from.

My talks with the CEO and CBO really highlighted this lack of direction, knowledge of the industry and the level of maturity they company has.

They are many other companies in this space that have a much clearer idea as to what and where they need to go. I would investigate them and pass on these guys.

If you do interview with them be warned that they do not reimburse you for any expenses you incur with the interview process.

My last thought again is to warn anyone who is interviewing for senior level positions, the reason why they are hiring is that they have no experience with growing companies and have just been lucky. Be careful what you share, i would say more than anything else they are talking to you to pick your brain, not to hire you.   Answer Question

    Account Man Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Fyber (San Francisco, CA) in March 2017.

    Interview

I applied and got a phone screening set up the next day. My first phone screening was with the office manager and then the Account Manager that I would be working with. The call went really well and I had an in-person two hour interview with 4 people.

The interview process was long and lengthy. Each person asked what I knew about the company and what service they provide. General questions about what I am looking for in a career. A lot of the questions were repetitive so make you have different answer each time!

Unfortunately did not get the job but it was a great interview experience/practice.

I was contacted by an external recruiter coincidently after applying directly for the role. The interview process was incredibly swift and professional. Lastly, I had a final interview with the head of the NY office in-person that was about 45 minutes. All in all, the process took 3 weeks or so and I was kept in the loop every step of the way.
