    Senior Software Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Austin, TX
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE Aviation (Austin, TX) in December 2016.

    Interview

Interview took almost 6 hours, and I have interviewed with almost 8 people.
It was a long day but at end, I felt I've done it greatly. and I expected to get a offer within a next week.

but there is no offer! I understand in competitive job market like this, Does not matter how great you are or how great you interviewed. you need a luck as well.

The only thing which bothered me the most, I've sent four follow up emails and asked them about my hiring decision, I told even if I did not get the position at least inform me and don't just dump my case into trash can.

But still no email, no response

    Interview

    Phone Screening.
2 weeks passed and then was scheduled a final interview.
5 hour interview on site in Cincinnati - presentation, 3 one on one interviews, case study with group of 3 other interviewees.

Lots of very specific behavior questions.... case study with group isnt that important it seems like - ours was AWFUL and I was still offered a job.

Most important thing is to show some enthusiasm about the job and the desire to learn.
