    Recruiter Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at General Healthcare Resources (New York, NY).

    Interview

I was contacted on linked in about a recruiter position and the recruiter was eager to complete a phone screening that day. I gave her details about my situation via linked in and told her I'd like to informally chat about the position to get a few questions answered to see if this position would be a fit for me. When I called she jumped right into a phone screening and disregarded all of my questions. She didn't have a lot of answers for me. When she asked me to go over my experience I took her through all of my jobs telling her what my responsibilities were, what I liked/disliked, and why I left each position. I was a bit annoyed when I was done talking and she asked at least four questions that I had just given her the answer to. She was not an active listener at all.
I was told that another associate would be in contact soon- which never happened. It had been a few weeks and I had reached out through email and linked in with no response. I finally got through to the recruiter who assured me the position was still open and my resume would be sent along with the next batch. A week later I still hadn't heard anything so I reached out to learn the position had been filled by one of the original resumes. If I wouldn't have called I never would have heard. I'm sure this isn't the case with the entire company but the recruiter I worked with had awful communication- which is such an important part of recruiting.

There really wasn't much of an interview!!! It was more of how much experience you have. We did have to fill out a lot of paperwork as well as take a test but other then that it was worth the work and dedication.
