    Marketing Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Gnip (Boulder, CO).

    Interview

The interview process at Gnip was the most rigorous interview I've ever had, in a good way. It started with a phone interview and then I was brought in to meet with 4 people who I would likely be working with. Then I was brought back a second time to meet with 4 more people who were a mix of people I'd be working with and leadership in the company. Finally, after that I had a lunch with the director of my department for some more personal/cultural fit questions and was given a verbal offer there. Everything about the process was great, I could tell they were concerned with a cultural fit as much as my skills/knowledge. Every person I met with made it more clear who the company was and what the job I was applying for would be expected to complete.

    Interview Questions

    • We discussed some strategic objectives and with what order I would do to meet those objectives and how I would prioritize the various smaller pieces of the larger project to get it done efficiently and effectively. This included some whiteboarding in the interview which I'd never done before.   Answer Question

    Sales Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Boulder, CO
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gnip (Boulder, CO) in February 2012.

    Interview

While applying for jobs, Gnip was by far the most enjoyable interview that I experienced. The interviewers had read through my resume and asked pointed questions that dug deeper into my work styles and how well I fit into the company culture. I was also pleased with how friendly and accommodating the team was during the interview. The final interview was with the COO of the company, and my offer came signed directly from the CEO. It was clear from the first interview that the upper management takes great pride in this company and that the employees all love working here.
