Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in August 2018.

Interview

Submitted application via the online portal. Basic Hirevue questions then contacted by HR to come to a Superday at the Headquarter which then consisted of three back to back interviews with members of the team. Questions a little tricky, but they just want to see how you think and if you can provide a structured response. Overall positive experience.

    Interview

Very formal. Two interviewers, very serious. It’s hard to admit you don’t know something, because they will not at all say “that’s ok.” I found it to be rattling, and I’m a very sociable person, but I can’t blame them at all! They deserve to be as hard as they want and the positions are very sought-after.

    Interview

Online application via university network and heard back about 2 days later for a HireVue video interview before moving onto a phone interview a couple of weeks later. The HireVue had 5 questions that were all timed and many didn't allow a second take. The site crashed and caused some questions submitted without a video/answer.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in October 2017.

    Interview

I had to complete the screening process, i.e the hirevue. The questions were pretty standard. Why Investment Banking? What have you done that lends itself to Investment Banking? The Hirevue is just meant to ascertain that you are normal and not akward. Relatively hard to screw up this portion of the interview
