Fill out application and wait while they look at it. That's it. All you had to do is pass a drug test and a criminal background check. They'll take anyone who passes these test. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up to other positions.

    Interview

Keep asking you the technical questions and throw you away.

It is disappointing to notice I am the only person who know how to build XXX. And I felt angry after they know the technical detail, they just hired another unskilled candidate.

My only advice is DO NOT tell them anything about the engineering process.

    Interview

I recently interviewed for a territory sales position within Goodman. I had a brief phone interview and then a 1.5 hour interview with the area and regional sales managers. It was my first ever job interview and I had prepared for conventional questions and relevant questions specific to the job and industry. The only question they asked that was on my list of over 100 questions was about the compensation. I thought the interview went very well and I am expecting to receive an offer.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Goodman Manufacturing (Houston, TX) in February 2016.

    Interview

I never write reviews or anything like that but this seriously was the worst interview and hiring process I have ever seen that I felt like I needed to share it. After this interview I don't think I could ever work here because it is so disorganized.

I was scheduled to interview with 5 people in short one-on-one 30 min sessions. So I took 4 hours off of my current job to interview there. I got there early for the interview, the interview started 20 mins late, they didn't have a room reserved for the interview so we had to go to a different facility, I interviewed with 3 people, 2 that I was actually supposed to interview with (who were actually very nice) and 1 who ended up coming in the wrong room. The other 3 that I was supposed to interview with never showed up. It was a complete waste and disrespect of my of time.

To make it even worse the guy who I wasn't even supposed to interview with was super rude. I asked "What is one thing you think Goodman could improve?" (trying to see what he didn't like about working there since I had just asked him what he liked about working there) and he told me "How we find the people we hire, we can never find competent people because we keep finding them through the same source" Not sure if that was directed at me or not but it is probably something you shouldn't tell those you are interviewing to hire.

3 weeks after the interview I still have not received any communication saying what is happening in the hiring process and no one has responded to my emails. HR/Recruiting might want to reconsider their game plan cause seriously, this is by far the worst interview I've ever been in and it wasn't cause I bombed it this time haha.

Best of luck Goodman, maybe you can't find competent people because those who are competent have already found new jobs by the time you get back to responding to them.
