There was an initial interview with the manager and then one with the director and assistant manager. Fairly simple questions regarding how you would function in a role, they did ask some technical questions
- What is quality to you?

The interview process is very smooth and quick responses are given. Research the values and role thoroughly and make sure you meet the values as a person. I think the interviewer tries their best to make you feel relaxed and engaged in conversation with them.
- Why did you choose this role?

Challenging interview but gives a strong insight on a person’s strengths and weaknesses due to the support and feedback received after every stage. Would say the written assessment was the most difficult
- Why are you interested in Grant Thornton?

Genuinely the best interview process of any major firm I have applied to - called me personally at an early stage of the process to get my thoughts on the process and to ask them questions.
- Can't remember but standard questions.

So far I have only been examined in sessions other than group exercise and 1-2-1. The first step is ot and vi, followed by a case study. I think the case study, which is purely writing, is more challenging for non-native speakers.

Tough but very relaxed. There was a group task first in which we had to work as a team to complete an activity and then it was the case of a 1-1 interview.
- Why audit? Why this role? Why us? What do you bring to the role? What skills do you think are required for the role?

Online interview. It was fairly easy, basic motivational and competency questions such as why the firm/role, and examples of teamwork, problem solving etc. Interview was relaxed and conversational, lasting around an hour.
- What differentiates our firm from others?

Application form, online assessments, a video interview that has a duration of 15 minutes and then followed the case study where you had to summarise and answer any questions that has a duration of 22 minutes.
- Please describe a situation where you have shown leadership skills.

Anonymous Employee in London, England
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton UK LLP (London, England) in Mar 2023
1. Online test involving numerical reasoning and situational judgment 2. Digital interview 4-5 questions (Why GT, Why Audit…) 3. Case study assessment (hardest stage - 22 mins to review multiple data sets and answer questions in email format) 4. Group exercise (most enjoyable) 5. 1:1 Manager interview (really chill, felt like I was talking to a friend) Will consist of competency, strength based, motivational and growth questions. Grant Thornton were so supportive throughout and ensured to give feedback on every stage. They do really want to see you succeed and I believe it’s the best place to work.
- Why Grant Thornton and why Audit?
- Why Grant Thornton and not the Big 4?
- Why a degree apprenticeship as opposed to university?
- Which value in their CLEARR values do you think is most important?
- How would you present a data set to a large group of people?
- Time you dealt with a challenge and a time you demonstrated leadership.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- What qualifications will you gain on this programme?
