    Interview

Took my resume to the store, called a couple days later, and set up an interview. All of this happened within a week. It was a relatively painless process. The management and owners were very accommodating and friendly. The interview was not nerve racking as the management and owners made me feel extremely comfortable. There was also a clear explanation of what my tasks and duties would be.

Pretty straight forward interview. Manager tells you what you will be doing. Tells you that the store just opened and they're trying to get on their feet. Informs you that the store can sometimes be fast paced.

    Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Grocery Outlet (Bend, OR) in January 2013.

    Interview

A head manager escorted me to the office where the Owner was sitting. He introduced himself and asked me to have a seat anywhere. He did not face me/look up at me 90% of the time. Some questions were interesting, and others were awkward, and the over-all vibe he was giving off was quite intense and uncomfortable. Very objective, military-minded man with my resume in his hand.
