    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Halliburton (Duncan, OK) in October 2014.

    Interview

A recruiter contacted me directly after looking my profile on LikedIn and asked me if I was interested to be interviewed for a Electrical Engineer position. 1 week later I got a phone call interview from one of the managers. The interview was straight forward basically STARS questions. One month later a human resource person contacted me to schedule a on site interviewed. I didn't get any specific information from her about the flight/hotel. After one week, I got a schedule from a travel agency with all the arrangements. I was not informed about the time of the interview/address anything. I e-mailed the person a few times and did no hear anything back. Finally I contacted the first recruiter who was able to contact the manager who interviewed me and set the time for the interview. At the company I was interviewed by 5 different people, basically behavior questions. The managers took me to lunch and they looked pretty interested in my profile. They showed me city and the main manager started to talk me about the benefits and everything. I was confident that they would give me a offer but one week later the recruiter said that they will not move forward with my application. It was very strange I asked for a interview feedback and I never get a response. Also, they sent me a reimbursement form for meals wich I returned and never got anything back. It seems a very disorganized company with no reliable people. Most of the people are working there forever and the majority it is the first job that they are working over 30 years. They really don't care about anything. If you want to go for an interview as a experience is nice but don't create expectations because they are nuts!

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Halliburton (Houston, TX) in June 2017.

    Interview

It was mostly a personality compatibility interview over the phone. We talked about the classes that I enjoyed the most and the classes I liked the least. I interviewed with two engineers and they were very friendly and easy to talk with.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton (Houston, TX) in August 2014.

    Interview

Questions were pretty basic; first interview was pretty much scripted, nothing out of the ordinary. The second interview was much easier--it was just a conversation with the hiring manager. He in particular made me very comfortable. Eventually I was involved with hiring new people as well, and was handed the same old worthless, scripted questions to ask. I immediately through it in the trash and asked what I wanted to ask, to ensure the candidate was a good fit.

    Interview Questions

    • Tell me about a time you resolved a conflict in the workplace...   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Halliburton will always (like any large corporation), try to low-ball you. For any given position, they're likely to go 1-2% below market value.
