    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Harvey Nichols in August 2017.

    Interview

I had a formal 1-1 interview with the Assistant Manager and a member from HR which was really just competency based questions, and then a second with the Department Manager which was more role based. The second interview was definitely more relaxed, asking more about my interests and goals for the future. Because of the relaxed feel, it felt a bit more judgemental.

    Interview

I approached Harvey Nichols and inquired about vacancies - they prefer to use their online system for recruitment but I was lucky enough to find one in a concession store. I handed in my CV (no previous experience in retail) and was interviewed by the manager the next day. Was very relaxed, asked about what I knew of the brand etc. Was then given an interview by the floor manager to confirm I could work at Harvey Nichols and complied with its working rules. Was a good experience and not too difficult.

I didn't get through to the shortlist. This was a telephone interview with the Head of Learning and Development. The interview lasted 50 minutes. Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Harvey Nichols (Birmingham, England (UK)).

    Interview

I applied online and had an initial phone interview several days which I felt quite positive about as I was invited to attend one at the store.
The store interview however was extremely intense and consisted of the main womenswear manager and a member of HR. It wasn't a relaxing interview at all and felt more like a personal character interrogation. I was promised a phonecall about the outcome but got an email instead which felt very interpersonal, im also taken aback by how tough my interview was compared to other people.
