Helen of Troy Interview Questions

These guys have the nerve to make you do a one-way interview before they even talk to you. This means they send you a link, you turn on your camera and record yourself answering 6 inane questions to a computer screen. Then when they feel like it, they watch your videos and if they think you are hot and like your responses, maybe they will have a real person reach out to you. No thank you!

You will get a Hirevue link for the interview. You will have six interview questions to answer. You are given a lot of time to answer the questions. The first question is basic, like tell me about yourself. The others were either behavioral or experience. I would recommend you pre-script your interview answers in like a bullet point format. Also, try to remember situations from work, as they will be helpful in answering your interview questions. Plus, update your response as each company has a specific candidate they need. I would say have 2–4 versions of the response to keep on hand.

Working with Talent Acquisition at Helen of Troy was a very positive experience. From the moment I submitted an application through eventually getting onboarded, the Talent Acquisition team member assigned to me made the process extremely easy. The TA member was always available, answered all of my questions, responded to every email, and generally extremely helpful. Making a decision to switch jobs can result in a lot of stress and anxiety, but the TA member and process overall negated that.

Recorded interview through HireView, asked pretty standard questions, had ~30 sec to think about each question and 2 attempts to answer. Took only about 20 minutes in total. Was given a couple of weeks to get it done, so no pressure

I applied online. After you will receive an email for a phone call with a recruiter. Recuriter was very nice. If you pass the phone call then will be interviewed by a panel

Got an email invite to a virtual interview. They use Hirevue for the first interview. It took 15 minuets, total of 5 questions. You can practice it using giving questions.

Answer 8 questions on HireVue and are allowed 2 attempts to record your answer. There is a 1-2 minute prep time allowed for each question before the recording starts. The 1st recording starts right away.

Never got back to me and when followed up they said still in process. Manager is not aware of what's going on in the world. Asked me to translate a document they use for marketing and had fun orthography errors

Interns have to answer an online questionnaire. There is also a video component involved, in which you have 90 seconds to answer a question on video. You will get retakes if necessary.

Pretty smooth. First round with HR and manager with behavior questions. Second round with the whole team with some technical questions. All nice and friendly and they all tried to make you not feel nervous.
