    Interview

The interview process was easy. Lots of questions on my resume and why I am suitable for the position. In the end they thought I was overqualified for the position . I just graduated and have 0 work experience.

    Graduate Analyst Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Henderson Global Investors (London, England (UK)) in March 2017.

    Interview

Tests, followed by video interview then Assessment Centre in March. Video interview was simple- competency and motivation based. Assessment centre- interview/presentation/written task and group exercise. All pretty standard and nothing too difficult, everyone was really friendly. Though I must add the group task wasn't explained very well, as you were meant to try and sell the product you were given but most groups worked together to choose products.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Henderson Global Investors in November 2015.

    Interview

Short phone interview which was mostly focussed on motivations for applying and expectations for the position. Early on in the call the interviewer disclosed the salary (which was very low for the industry) and told me the role was designed to encourage applicants from non-typical backgrounds. She asked if I wanted to continue with my application, at which point I declined.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Henderson Global Investors (London, England (UK)) in June 2015.

    Interview

    1. Application Form, 2. Telephone Interview, 3. Fact-to-face interview.

This was in 2015. I believe the interview process now involves a "skype" style interview and/or possibly a series of questions to which you have a small amount of time to prepare for and then answer.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Henderson Global Investors (London, England (UK)) in October 2016.

    Interview

Video interview, the majority of the questions were behavioral, however there were a couple of company-specific questions and some about the position. Very straight forward. They took forever to give me an update on my application after I emailed them twice for feedback.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Henderson Global Investors (London, England (UK)) in January 2017.

    Interview

After the standard online tests I was invited to complete a video interview. The first couple of questions were general ones about the company and quite similar. (Why us? What do you like about us?). I found those questions difficult to try to fill for the 2 mins allotted time, especially after going through most of my points on the company in question 1. Other interview questions were easier to answer as they were reflective upon yourself (Time when XXX happened?, What do you bring to the business? etc.)

    Interview Questions

    • Something along the lines of: "When researching the company, what stood out for you?" - 2 minute answer time.   Answer Question

    Interview

Do not be overwhelmed by Henderson Global Investor's office! The interview has to be one of the most pleasant interviews I have had, but having said that the interview was by no means easy and a breeze. You are required to do you research. What I mean by 'pleasant' is that the two interviewers were very welcoming and friendly; if you are a person like me, a people's person, you know that you will fit into this company straight away.

Questions varied, but here are some tips:

    - Knowledge of company - this is standard.
    - Make sure you know you CV. I was asked to run through it.
    - Dealing with difficult people, how do you overcome this?
    - Weaknesses and strengths.
    - How would you friends describe you.

Essentially, just do you research on the company and prepare. Look online for frequently asked interview questions. They are not there to trip you up, and if you do not know the answer say so. Do not waffle and make something up. Honesty is key!

    Good luck!
