    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Hewlett-Packard (San Jose, CA) in February 2017.

    Interview

Got a call 2 weeks after I applied online. Interview was some technical questions but focused mainly on behavioral, I'd say it was pretty easy. I was contacted a couple weeks after my initial interview and offered the position.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Hewlett-Packard (San Jose, CA) in January 2016.

    Interview

I was contacted by hiring manager in on-campus recruiting fair.
In a week, hiring manager contacted me for interview.

1st round of interview was general resume discussion with hiring manager in-person at my college.
2nd round was telephonic technical interview and it was quite simple.

I was again contacted by hiring manager and discussed as why I wanted to join this position and job-details.

This entire process lasted for around 1 month and after a month I was replied by HR that they found a better candidate.

    Web Applications Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hewlett-Packard (San Jose, CA) in November 2015.

    Interview

It took me a week to schedule first phone interview and it's only about background. HP's HR only writes one email a day, and she even didn't know the job requirement details when talking to me, I've told her that I'm looking for front-end development, and she sent me a link for this web application, but it's totally backend, the first tech interview is kind of embarrassed, it would be much better and save us engineers' time if HR could study job requirement, and candidate's resume, or even ask the career path question in the first phone call.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hewlett-Packard (San Jose, CA) in September 2014.

    Interview

I applied online for an opportunity in the Enterprise/Cloud Servers Group. A recruiter called me back to discuss a similar opening with the Printers and PCs group. The talk went well enough that she was going to set up an interview with a hiring manager. Several unreturned follow-up calls on my part later, I received a rejection email from HP for a job in sales I most certainly did not apply for. I'll be kind and say this is an organization where the right tentacle does not know what the other seven are doing, but I can't say this improved my regard for them.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hewlett-Packard (San Jose, CA) in October 2012.

    Interview

The interview process was quite smooth. I was contacted through email, then set up with a in person interview soon after. I interviewed in person at the office, and they mostly asked about my interests, career desires, and my skill not on my resume.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I was almost tricked out of negotiating. The HR called me and asked if im interested in "$xxx" salary. I asked her about the negotiating with a manager and she made it seem like it was a very long process and that they needed to send the offer soon.
