In my opinion, most co-workers who are not team player usually are people who enjoy working alone because they prefer being in control. The best way to work with this type of personality is to allow him/her to control/lead the treatment session while allowing yourself to fall into the assistant position e.g. being flexible. Remember its all about patient care, and providing the best care for the patient. If you can swallow your ego, allow yourself to be flexible, working with a non-team player is usually possible.
