How would you handle an employee that has attendance issues

  when we do not have an attendance policy in place?

We can't hold an employee accountable for attendance if there isn't a clear policy and expectations that they agreed to.

I would suggest to management that we invent an attendance policy to help guide supervisors to disciplining employees that violate the attendance guidelines.
