Mechanical Design Engineering Interview Columbus, IN

If you were a fireman and needed to increase the flow of

your hose, how would you do it without getting a new pump?

Interview Answer

Change the material of the hose to a more frictionless material, increase height of pump compared to house, shorten the hose, straighten the hose, increase the diameter of the hose (wanted more flow at once, not increased speed), etc.
