    Associate Software Developer Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Infostretch.

    Interview

Applied online, recruiter called the next day to schedule my first interview. It was a online video interview. The Interviewee was unprofessional in my opinion. He seemed distracted throughout the interview, and didn't have any technical questions ready to ask me. It didn't seem like he actual knew how to solve the question itself as the output he expected wasn't what the question he asked would actually give.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Infostretch in April 2014.

    Interview

I initially applied for this position on an online job posting board. Someone from their PA office immediately reached out to me for an initial phone interview. I was asked some brief informational questions, like current position, growth pattern, company values, etc. She mentioned that she would forward my information over to the hiring manager at HQ for further screening. I went through a second interview with the hiring manager/lead designer which was a great conversation. We spoke for over an hour about project history, work mentality, experience, design preferences, etc. It was an in depth and engaging interview which was amazing. Afterwards, I was provided a design practical for propose a redesign of the company website. The third portion of my interview was a panel interview with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Sr. Graphic Designer, and Sr. UX Designer. Everyone was great to speak with, and the best part was exercising on-the-spot collaboration.

    Interview Questions

    • The most pleasant surprise was the on-the-spot critquing of my web design. I was confident and thoughtful of my work so when asked why I implemented certain elements, I was well prepared to answer. I was asked how I could add CTA elements and re-configure information flow which was the most difficult portions. It required me to be extremely agile with my thought process and tested my knowledge of UX concepts.   Answer Question
