Difficult Interview

Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY) in November 2015.

Interview

Two phone interviews, and a super day. Phone interviews were reviews of resume, with some basic fit questions. Super day was 6- 30 minute interviews. The interviews were a mix of fit interviews, and technical questions. Technical questions were specific to group and corporate finance.

    Interview

Straightforward super day with fast response time of a week after the interview. Only had two interviews back to back, mostly behavioral with some market and technical accounting questions. It seemed to be largely based on fit.

    Interview

First interview was a phone interview with the Hiring Manager. I was then contacted by the recruiter for an onsite interview. Onsite was a four hour Interview process, met with each manager in the group, had lunch and was given a tour of the building. It was a very interesting process.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Washington, DC) in September 2015.

    Interview

on campus interview, superday multiple rounds no break inbetween. people were nice but pushy. Interviews questions were what you would expect- be sure to brush up on capital markets. HR then followed up afterwards pretty quickly letting us know within a week whether we had been chosen or not. Turn around is quick. I met with different people than some of the other candidates which was different than other firms I had seen

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY).

    Interview

Lengthy process meeting around ten people in the team, from other analysts to MD. Each interview was different, with some being more technical than others. Overall, it had a good mix of technical (corporate finance, capital markets, and math/statistics/brain teasers, etc.) as well as behavioral questions. Overall process was pretty smooth.

I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY) in February 2015.

    Interview

Two phone calls and then an in person interview at the corporate office. The first phone interview was very personality oriented. They just wanted to make sure that I could have a conversation without stumbling over my words or losing train of thought. Second interview was with another person and was about half personality and half conceptual. Conceptual part was not too hard, basic financial concepts.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan.

    Interview

his interview was on my calendar. I showed up. JPM management must have had the interview on their calendar, as they were physically present.I would normally not have a phone on during an interview, but I most certainly would not answer it if I did. If I ‘unintentionally’ (?) answered a call or read a text message, I most certainly would apologize for the interruption. My phone was off. After a while of the manager’s divided attention, I was asked if there were any questions. I thought about suggesting that we talk some other time and chalk the time up as interview practice, but I asked the following question:

How engaged are you in the affairs of your department? The answer?

    Interview

This was for an on campus recruitment. I was called up by a recruiter who obtained my resume through my university. The interview was on campus and took approximately 30 minutes. The interview were mostly personality questions with some technical ones thrown in here and there. The questions posted on glass door are pretty accurate.
