    Interview

They took two interviews. One was telephonic and other was on BlueJeans(Skype). The telephonic was very very easy. It was about for 30mins and the interviewer asked basic questions on java and follow up questions. The video interview was basically lots of behavorial questions, little bit technical. The job description was for mid level java developer.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY).

    Interview

A phone screen + an onsite interview
The recruiter was very very rude. He asked me for availability but they scheduled the phone interview different from what I provided. Then for the onsite interview, I gave them a couple dates, again they did this to me. What is worse is that they keep rescheduling the interviews. Finally on the day of onsite interview, I got a call at 11 am that they had to reschedule! My interview was scheduled at 2PM!!!! I had to take a day off but they did this to me. Then we rescheduled for next week. When I arrived, the person who was supposed to welcome me did not pick up my phone. And of course, he did not even show up later. I waited half an hour until someone came down to get me into the building. There were supposed to be three interviewers according to the schedule. Only one showed up and another man basically just randomly filled in. These people did not respect others' time and treat the interviewees really bad. Stay away from this company!!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in September 2016.

    Interview

Had two technical round which i completed without issues. But, i think i was over qualified for this position. Two rounds completed on two different days. Interviewer was good.

HR team should have done ground work clearly so applicants do not end up waiting even after clearing all rounds.

    Applications Developer Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Brooklyn, NY) in June 2016.

    Interview

The process took over a month. First I was contacted by the recruiter to take an online exam. the exam was very easy 2 simple questions that you can code with the language of your choice. a few days later I received an email asking me to give dates & times for a phone interview. I provided the recruiter with a list but never received a confirmation before the 1st interviewer called.
the phone interview consisted of questions about OOP concepts & design. 2 weeks later I received another email asking me for a 2nd phone interview with the team in London. the interview went pretty well I was asked some data structure and algorithm questions nothing fancy. 2 days after I received another email asking me to schedule an on-site interview with 2 VP and Executive. When I arrived to the interview I had to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes because the first VP was late. when we entered the room the VP asked me if I have my resume with me. it turned out he didn't even read my resume before and didn't prepare any questions. he pulled out his cellphone and surfed on C++\Java interview websites to collect a set on questions. I had to sit in the room and wait until he finished reading my resume and surf on his phone to find interview questions. I was very offended and think it's disrespectful. The fact that I wasn't Indian bothered him and it was obvious. the 2nd VP and the director were very nice and asked me a lot of technical questions which I knew all the answers. the on-site interview was scheduled for 1.5 hours, but took around 3.5 hours. When I contact the recruiter to get a feedback I didn't get any answer. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Brooklyn, NY) in February 2016.

    Interview

Applied online, then a week or so later I received an e-mail to take an online tech screen on HireVue. Had to solve two easy coding questions (converting to binary and then comparing arrays), then explain my solution via webcam. Was then invited to a "Java/Python Interview Day" at their Brooklyn building. They explained that the interviews would be for multiple Application Developer openings at different levels and that they would be gauging my skills to see where I fit. Two 45 minute technical interviews. First interview fairly easy, but second one was much more difficult than the tech screening and didn't match he interviews I read about on Glassdoor. I was not prepared. Asked mostly about understanding of Java and to implement different algorithms and data structures that I had not yet studied. Job description misled me to believe that they were looking for entry-level programmers.

    Interview Questions

    • 1. Take an integer input and output the number of 1's in it's binary representation.
      2. Implement a mergesort.
      3. Explain your level of understanding of data structures (trees, etc.)
