They were super laid back. They really just want warm bodies to fill the analyst positions in install.

    Interview Questions

    • I can't recall the interview questions. They did ask if I was single which made me feel uncomfortable. I think their reason for asking was to see if I would be willing to travel the amount that is required and not trying to stay home with my significant other.   Answer Question

After the interview process the managers then discuss and make recommendation to the hiring manager on weather to offer a position.

    Software Developer Interview

    Negative Experience

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Jack Henry & Associates (Kansas City, MO) in April 2015.

    Interview

I received a call from a headhunting organization that was looking at my Universities list of students. I hadn't posted on that list within a year, so they went far back. It was me and 2 others in the room with one person on an intercom. They started off by saying that they dont expect me to know the answers to these questions and then started with 5+ years xp Q's and worked down to entry level intern. I was told that I would hear back from them on a certain day, but didnt. So I called in and they informed me the board had ran into complications and the decision was delayed a week. After a week they said that it was postponed yet another, After that week they said that they are bringing in another group to ask but not to be discouraged, I am on the list of people that should be considered. A month or two has gone by like this, every time I contact them they say I am being reviewed and actively considered.... yet they never contact me.

To me this gives off a very unprofessional vibe, to me, either that or a very disorderly higher up group.

    Interview Questions

    • What is the tech that the company is currently using. What does JHA do, and a few others about them to make sure that you took the time to look into them.   Answer Question

    SQL Database Administrator Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Negative Experience

    Interview

The technical recruiter interrupted my morning walk with a cold call. I reluctantly agreed to apply for the position. I wasn't looking for a new job. The interview went quite well, or so I thought. A couple of weeks later I was told I was no longer being considered for the position because I wasn't "technical". I have a bachelor's in computer science, and a master's in information systems. I also have 30 years of experience as a programmer, developer, and database administrator. In addition I have a number of technical certificatons. I'm even a certified IBM DB2 database administrator for z/OS. So, I was obviously confused about how I could have gone overnight from being "very technical" to not "technical".

Did not ask any technical questions. Offer was a mess and took many months. Whole process was on again off again and I nearly gave up on them. In the end I should have turned them down as I am already leaving the company.

It was terrible. On again off again and it too months to figure it all out.
