Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (San Jose, CA).

Interview

Strategy TMT division - 2 interviews - one with Partner (Samir Ajmera) and other with Director (David York). General overview questions, case study
Both have NO experience in the TMT industry, dont know how they got there. Were very
un-appreciative of industry experience I had and neither they had any Media nor Telco projects or even plans to grow.
Worst division of KPMG and worst people to work with.
Glad I didnt waste any more time with foolish folks

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Washington, DC) in September 2016.

    Interview

A KPMG recruiter found me on LinkedIn. I ended up going through 2 screening calls with recruiters, one 3-hour interview with multiple team members, and 2 final phone interviews before I received he offer.

    Interview Questions

    • Very straightforward questions. It was clear the team was looking for a cultural and personality fit. The fact that I made it past 2 phone screens meant I was obviously qualified to do the work.
      -Tell me about yourself.
-What's your favorite part of your current job?
-Talk to me more about XXXX [from my resume].

    Interview

I was referred from a current employee and my resume was submitted to HR. I was contacted within the week to discuss my resume with an initial screener. We discussed where I wanted to take my career and what appealed to me, in terms of areas of interest and locations. She is forwarding my resume onto those areas of interest I am waiting to hear the next step.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at KPMG (Hoboken, NJ).

    Interview

I had four interviews total, including the HR phone screen. Two were 2-3 hour panels that required me to travel on-site, about an hour away. In one, I couldn't get a word in, and the interviewer insulted someone else who was on the panel and who was also her direct report. After all that, no follow-up. Very unprofessional.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at KPMG (New York, NY) in July 2016.

    Interview

Process was pretty basic in all. I interviewed once with a Managing Director and a Director but the job was put on hold for a few months. When the job was reopened I interviewed with a few Partners in the same day nothing too difficult just questions about my background and some behavioral questions.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at KPMG.

    Interview

I had 4 rounds - one with the business leader, then with the onshore leaders (pannel interview); then I met the business leader again and then finally HR (1 round face to face, 1 telephonic). Overall the interviews were engaging and I was asked questions regarding my subject. I also emailed few samples of past work to the business leader. I would recommend KPMG for anyone who wants a global exposure in career!

    Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Dallas, TX
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Dallas, TX) in April 2016.

    Interview

I was contacted by the recruiters for a pre screen, who did a brief evaluation of my technical skills. A week or so later, I had 45 minute phone interview with two people (one was the hiring manger). After the phone interview, I was brought on sight for a in person interview. This ended up being an interview with the same two people, one of which was the hiring manager.

    Interview Questions

    • Both times I was asked some technical and behavioral questions. They were based off the skills I listed on my resume. If you say you know about something, be sure you can back it up. Otherwise, it's best to say you don't know.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

They couldn't honor the base salary we had agreed upon when we started talking. Additionally, the benefits they offered weren't very good compared to my current benefits.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Dallas, TX) in March 2016.

    Interview

Phone interview, then face to face over video, then another phone. The teams were very open to questions and were able to explain the environment as much as possible without an NDA. Some Mis communication during second interview but they accepted the correction. All in all it was low pressure. Although I did not get this position due to lacking a particular skill, I will apply again when an opening arises.

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at KPMG (Los Angeles, CA) in February 2016.

    Interview

Way too many interviews! Seven interviews, both phone and in-person. Very repetitive, interviewers all pretty much asked the same questions. One on one and panel interviews. Too much! Nice people but their interview process is way over engineered.
