HR Manager phone call screen for about 10 minutes, asked simple questions, then met with two partners over lunch a week later. Conversation went pretty easily, didn't focus on hard questions.

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at KPMG (New York, NY) in January 2018.

    Interview

Phone Interview, then another phone interview, then one more, then in-person interview in another city, then another phone interview... only to be told, we are not hiring in your city after 4 months.

After repeating to everyone that I would be able to travel 100%, the recruiter said we won't be hiring in your city - after 4 months of interviews.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at KPMG (Chicago, IL).

    Interview

Thorough. Friendly. I met with the two national leaders fairly quickly, as they knew what they were looking forward. They were both very straightforward. They looked at me both from a skills standpoint, but also for overall fit within the culture.

    Interview

I was referred from a current employee and my resume was submitted to HR. I was contacted within the week to discuss my resume with an initial screener. We discussed where I wanted to take my career and what appealed to me, in terms of areas of interest and locations. She is forwarding my resume onto those areas of interest I am waiting to hear the next step.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at KPMG (Hoboken, NJ).

    Interview

I had four interviews total, including the HR phone screen. Two were 2-3 hour panels that required me to travel on-site, about an hour away. In one, I couldn't get a word in, and the interviewer insulted someone else who was on the panel and who was also her direct report. After all that, no follow-up. Very unprofessional.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Washington, DC) in September 2016.

    Interview

A KPMG recruiter found me on LinkedIn. I ended up going through 2 screening calls with recruiters, one 3-hour interview with multiple team members, and 2 final phone interviews before I received he offer.

    Interview Questions

    • Very straightforward questions. It was clear the team was looking for a cultural and personality fit. The fact that I made it past 2 phone screens meant I was obviously qualified to do the work.
      -Tell me about yourself.
-What's your favorite part of your current job?

    Interview

Way too many interviews! Seven interviews, both phone and in-person. Very repetitive, interviewers all pretty much asked the same questions. One on one and panel interviews. Too much! Nice people but their interview process is way over engineered.

    Interview

Just had one of the worst interview experiences. Job posting was vague, and I thought, recruiter or phone screening with the hiring manager will clarify things about role/responsibilities. Recruiter was barely ever responsive, and did know nothing about the details about responsibilities etc. Finally, was scheduled for phone screening with 3 people and 1 didnt show up. One never said a word in the interview and the one who spoke the most asked very easy questions. Then I was shortlisted for in-person interview. The interview scheduling took 2 weeks, and again recruiter won't provide timely updates. During the interview, no one from the provided list of 4 showed up. Room had inadequate lighting, remote person could barely see anything from the whiteboard (actually glass,) and very easy questions were asked by the in-person people. They didnt even know who is the hiring manager, where will be the reporting site, and exact work responsibilities. It was a waste of all the time and efforts of 3-4 weeks.
