Interview

They Interviewed upstairs, there were very basic questions. After interview they completed a drug screening. The wait was about a week or so to get the results. I think there were also personality questions on a computer on site. It was a pretty basic process, pretty standard for retail.

    Interview

I was called for a phone interview by corporate, this interview was very brief. They then scheduled me for an in-person interview with store management. I was given one interview, they called me a week later to say that I got the job. This interview was with one of the store managers who then referred me to the HR department who filled out my paperwork.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions were basically about how I interact with difficult customers and how I interrelate with coworkers.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Sugar Land, TX).

    Interview

We were given two sheets of paper. One consisted of our availability; the other one was of what our favorite thing from Kroger was and why. We had to stand up and tell everyone our name and what our favorite thing from Kroger is and why. Then we all came together and made a sales pitch sing one item that was chosen from our favorites list. Each person had to mention a different benefit to the product and why it should be sold (eg. what topping would be good with the ice cream, why that person should buy it, its cost, ect.) At the end, the job interviewer called up the two people who hadn't been accepted for their job and dismissed them while the three others were congratulated and told to take a drug test and complete other paperwork. It was easy for the most part.

    Interview

I talked with the Front End Manager and she hired me on, after finding out I was not a convicted felon. The initial store I was hired on had plenty of opportunities that were available, which I could take advantage of until I transferred. When I transferred, the new store operated drastically different.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked me generic interview questions for a entry level position, such as why do you want to work here? The hardest question was probably "How would you describe yourself?"   1 Answer
