I applied to La Petite online from Indeed.com The next day I got a call from the director to set up a time for an interview. This was all on April 1 (applied) and April 2 (called) On April 4th I went in for my first interview. I was interviewed by a very friendly and put together woman and she asked me question from a sheet, though she did not score them in from of me. She also asked me about my previous jobs, basically what you would expect. At the end, she asked me if I would come in for a second interview. Also, I was interviewed in a very nice, though relatively small office. My second interview was exactly one week later, April 11th. It was with the director and she was also a very nice, put together woman. She asked me similar questions to the first interview, maybe a little more in depth. She also gave me an overview of what to expect if I were to be hired and only a little about how the curriculum works there. After my second interview, I was told they were still interviewing people and she would get back to me within a week after all of the background check and references were referred to. Two days later, on April 13th, I was called and offered the job over the phone by the director and she told me exactly what to wear and what time to be there on my first day, also how much they were willing to offer me. I am in Ohio, I was told: To bring my I.D. and another form of identification; I am bringing my SS card Wear only plain black or plain white shoes (it's okay if they are not totally solid in color) They will order you two shirts, in the size you request. Until then, you may wear a solid white, black, or red shirt. I bought polos. Black or khaki pants only Must bring a copy of your high school diploma I was only offered $9.35 an hour as a full-time employee. I hope to get a raise after being there for a while. However, I do not have experience in daycare/preschool, or a degree in early childhood education. That was probably a factor.
