The initial process for applying to lidl is very similar to other jobs;
application form and then a very simple personality test.
Once confirmed onto the telephone interview stage via email someone called me from a recruitment company. They booked me in for a telephone interview and then explained the length and focus of the interview.
25 minute telephone interview with questions about your CV and personal experiances.
When the phone call came in i was fully prepared for a structured interview with plenty of relevant questions. what i was not prepared for was a lady to interupt every single one of my answers by saying "oh im going to ask you a question later that your answering now, so lets move onto a different question" This made the interview feel very robotic and it wasnt easy to answer her questions without being interupted because she "didnt want the answer to another question yet"
I have had many telelphone interviews and all of them have flowed correctly, if i answer two questions in one answer then the interviewer will always be happy with the answer and just skip the question that i accidently answered.
it may have been my interviewer but i had to repeat myself 4-5 times and she was very rude about the relevance of some of my answers, obviously not being able to connect the dots between why " being confident and communicating well in a presentation at university" will benefit lidl.
