Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's (Reynoldsburg, OH) in August 2016.

Interview

I applied online and was contacted by both phone and e-mail to schedule an interview. Interview took place in the store two days later. The interview included several standard questions about how I handled different situations at previous jobs. The interviewer stated that they were interviewing several candidates and would let me know via e-mail within two weeks if I was selected. Less than two weeks later I received an e-mail that I had not been chosen for the position.

    Interview

The Interview Process was straight forward, I applied online and approximately 3 weeks later I received a call to have an interview. The Interview was standard in my opinion, asked what my goals were, why Lowe's, and how long I plan on staying. Interview

The interview process was quick but not very thorough, I felt like they were just trying to get additional hands as fast as they could. In all it probably took maybe 15 minutes for the process.

    Interview

I was called up for an interview just a few days after filling out an application online. The interviewer was the HR person I spoke to on the phone, who didn't sound all-that friendly. He wasn't too bad in person, although he was a bit intimidating. He snapped at me (probably jokingly) for sitting in an assistant's chair. She never even showed up during my interview, even though the interviewer called out to her a couple of times to try to get her to come in. My first impressions were pretty bad seeing as my interviewer did not seem to be taking my interview very seriously.

But once things settled down it turned into what I imagine is a pretty typical interview. I was asked about my previous experience, why I want to work for this position, and then asked a series of "Tell me a time when you ______" questions. For this position, they actually seemed fairly relevant as they had to do with safety and following processes to name a few. It went by fairly quickly, though he had me read through a few sheets of paper regarding the position and then signing it.

At its conclusion, I was told a decision would be made the following week and that there were a few more candidates to interview. I thanked him and went on my way. Unfortunately, I received an automated e-mail telling me I didn't get the position before the following week even began, so perhaps just two or three days after the interview. On the bright side, the process was quick. But on the flip side, the interviewer seemed unprofessional and I was left feeling I was hardly even a consideration for the position in the first place.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Lowe's (Fort Myers, FL) in March 2014.

    Interview

Applied online, went in person to see store manager, got a phone call from HR person. Went in next day for interview with HR person and ASM. Got rejection email about 2 days later.

Rather an unfair method to screen potential candidates. Company should use experience to screen out unqualified applicants rather than responses to interview questions.
