Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA) in February 2013.

Interview

There were two parts to the interview - the group session and the individual session. In the group session, you sit in a circle with other candidates, and work through some scenarios that RAs may have to deal with that focus on prioritizing residents' needs, how to support them, and what makes a good RA. The individual session focuses more on your ability as an individual to be a leader and solve problems.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA) in March 2015.

    Interview

There were group interviews, then individual interviews. There were multiple group interviews in the same day, and it was difficult to get a word in or prepare well. Asking previous RA's for their insights is beneficial.
