I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft
I applied online and received an initial interview offer within a couple of days. The recruiter requested to reschedule on short notice (2 hours before the interview) and I happily accommodated a new time. Not sure why the recruiter had a very defensive attitude, asked irrelevant questions, and just seemed disinterested in the candidate's qualifications or work experience. Didn't even ask about my previous experience with recruiting specifically or why I chose to apply to the company. I probably asked the recruiter more questions about their experience and the company culture than they asked me. Just looks highly unprofessional on the company's end.
- General tell me about yourself question? What are your expectations from the role?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Lyft
It was a great experience. It took about 20 minutes. The person interviewing gave a pretty good overview of the role. She really took her time to understand my background and what I wanted from my next role.

Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CA
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2022
Had a recruiter screen and then a fairly easy take-home assignment. After passing the take-home, got moved to a virtual onsite with 4 interviewers. The process from start to finish took 1 week only! Overall had an amazing experience. Everyone had great energy, super enthusiastic, and were able to answer all my questions.
- How do you build strong partnership with stakeholders?
- How do you handle a project with little to no direction from manager?

phone screen; first was sent an email writing test, then the phone screen. was asked behavioral questions to see if i had the right experiences & background for position. recruiter was okay
- What was a big problem that you had to fix?

Anonymous Employee in Seattle, WA
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Lyft (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2019
The interview process was fast and seamless. The process began with a homework assignment with different scenarios. Once that step was completed and I "passed", I had an over the phone interview with one of the recruiters. She was so nice and helpful through this process. Next, I had an on-site interview with the entire recruiting team. This was a little over 2 hours long but I was offered the job same day.
- Why Lyft?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft in Jul 2019
Was referred. Had a phone screening and then a second call before the final onsite interview. Everyone was incredibly nice throughout the entire process. No feedback was given after getting the call that I didn't get the position.
- Typical behavioral type questions

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Nashville, TN
I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft (Nashville, TN)
Emailed by recruiter day after I applied; asked to complete 'homework' that was essentially seeing how I would respond to candidates. Submitted the same day, was contacted by a recruiter a few hours later. Scheduled an interview online for the following week. Recruiter pushed back the interview an hour before the interview because she had a meeting. No problem, I was flexible. After 30 minutes I asked about next steps and she said at end of week/early next week should follow up. Never heard back, even after I followed up. This seems to be a trend with this company, and something higher level managment should be aware of, because it is not a good look.
- Stregths/weaknesses; salary expectations; when I can start; behavior based interview questions - tell me about a time you dealt with someone who was disatisfied, how did you handle it; how would you respond to a candidate who needed to change interview time.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (New York, NY) in Apr 2019
Got a phone interview from a referral. It went well and they asked a lot of basic questions just to get to know your background a bit. Had a quick takehome exercise and then after receiving good feedback, moved onto the onsite interview. The onsite was long, 2 hrs total meeting with four different RCs and Recruiters for 30 min each. Everyone was really welcoming and nice and although I didn’t get the position, I really appreciated their feedback and willingness to keep me in the loop at all times. Seems like a great place to work.
- Why recruiting?
- How would you go about building a relationship with a fellow recruiter?

Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CA
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2019
From start to finish they were extremely responsive and always sent out updates about the process. I went through a phone screen with a recruiter, phone interview with the hiring manager and a on-site interview with 4 team members. I was impressed by the recruiting process and was very pleased with my experience.
- How did you handle complex scheduling?

Anonymous Employee
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lyft
There was a phone screen as well as two rounds of onsite interviews. Interviewers included various team members of various levels. There was a super quick turnaround regarding feedback each round. Expectations were clearly set, and the team kept me in the loop with great communication.
- How do you stay organized? How do you prioritize?
