I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at LyondellBasell (Houston, TX) in Oct 2011
Interview
A warm welcome and a few questions about me personally. Interviewer was kind and made me feel at ease. Then followed a set of generic behavioral questions. Typical "Describe a time when you were involed in group work" type of questions. Filled in the boxes on the questions sheet, then on to the next generic question. All the way through the interview though I was made to feel comfortable and the interview showed genuine interest in my responses.

Interview
Was called as part of a large set of interviews, was put in a room one on one with one of their recruiters. We did a 30 minute interview but they had time and allowed me to ask several questions at the end about the process and what would be happening in the future. It was relatively nice and not too stressful. I was called as a "secondary" candidate if that is helpful, but I don't think it made much of a difference.

Interview
Very laid back and relaxed. The person I interviewed with was an upper-level manager, but he was very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. The interview was only behavioral and situational questions, nothing technical.

Made contact at a career fair. First interview was entirely behavioral. It was the most behavioral focused interview I have had. Maybe I was asked 2 non behavioral questions and 10ish behavioral ones.
