I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Marriott International (Greensboro, NC) in Mar 2016
The promised interview never came about, she (GM) left 15 minutes before it's scheduled time, and dodged my calls from that point after her“Clique-ish" collegues gave me an impromptu interview, after she didn't show. They harassed me about my accomplishments, and my foreign language attributes; after having me wait in lobby, while they stared and sharing also with me, their unpleasant stares and smirks. *The Marriott offered me a position, wage and promotion, in which I accepted, the interview would consist of a meeting to complete the necessary paperwork.... I was then exposed to the women who treated me in the manner described above. The promise hasn't been been, I was never employed. I happen to be very beautiful, it's very apparent; so as in most cases, the males are pulling for me to be hired, while the women treat me as stated. I'm a very tough cookie, but as I write this , and filled with sadness, it happens to me VERY often. Recently, I had to quit my current job of another company. The company owner, told me that with my outstanding references, character, and knowledge, the GM and her clique would be sure to harass me and they maybe he shouldn't have told them all the details of my stature. This told to me during my 30-day review, as an explanation for the harassment I've undergone since my first day in the job, this explanation was offered, I hadn't brought up the harassment, he did. *On my first day, an associate told me "Don't tell the GM anything, cause she'll put it all on the floor. They don't like you, so be careful." I was hired Asst. Mgr. I immediately felt sorry for the employee, establishment, and myself... I was looking towards having to report my GM, for confidentiality breaching, and harassment on behalf of that associate (I asked her to give me an example, to quickly and lawfully determine if it supported her claims, and sadly she did), during my first five minutes of employment. I really need to professional men, especially women, to interview and work closely under; I don't have the urge, time, or funding for suing people who should have my best interests in mind.

I was interviewed by 2 people for about an hour. There were a lot of questions and some of them got rather personal. Also a lot of unnecessary questions. They tried to find out everything about me.

I submitted my application through a hiring site and got a call back within a few days. I missed the call and had to leave 2 messages to get in contact with somebody. First a supervisor interviewed me, then the associated manager interviewed me. They offered me a position on site and took me down to HR. The entire process took about 2 1/2 hours.
- If you had to choose between 2 employees for a promotion, how would you choose? (An odd question considering I wasn't applying for management)

The interview process is long, you have to pass 3 interviews with various people. It could take 3-4 months before you actually land the job. The great thing about applying online is that once you apply for a certain position once from their website you can apply for that same position at other locations within 3 minutes all your information and answers are saved in their database.

I was contacted via telephone to set up a personal interview. I arrived and was quickly taken back to begin the interview. I completed an initial interview and was then taken back to be interviewed by the General manager of the hotel. I was offered the position on the spot and taken back to HR for paperwork

The manager and the human resources worker told me to go at a set time and I was asked about my experience with customer service and technology. Also, they tell you about the hotel and how you must dress.
- What was your previous job? Have you worked at customer service? How would you deal with complaints and requests from the guests at the hotel?

Interview was done in the lobby with the GM. He asked basic questions about my job history and found out what I like about customer interaction. He also wanted to know my availability as you do need to be flexible for this role since the hotel is never closed, there is a lot of weekend shifts.
- Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer and how did you handle it?

Extremely professional. I’m very satisfied with the interview process, they ask you to walk you through scenarios you’ve had before. Whether work or school, and they write notes of how you handled the situation, and how it ended. Currently Waiting for a response.
- Describe a situation were you helped someone on you team?
