    Straight forward. Basic queations about oneself. At the end they give a role play question where you had to sell a pen and convince the recruiters that you are a good fit

    Phone interview with the HR and then followed by a Face to Face interview with the Compliance panel at Mashreq Bank UAE. Interview was great and I could demonstrate my ability to manage a compliance team and my deep understanding of the compliance sanctions / AML related regulations / programs

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Mashreq (Dubai (United Arab Emirates)) in August 2008.

    Interview

    Hiring and interview process includes different stages such as applying for a job and then later shortlisting of candidates . Then there is an initial telephonic interview by hr followed if a second interview with prospective line manager. Later there is psychometric testing . Once all stages are through then negotiation starts including package. Relocation etc.....

    It was standard, first application process, then HR phone interview, followed by HR face to face, subsequently with the department head and the job owner. No written forms or assessments at this level. Extremely professional.

    It was full day session with variety of activities like group discussion, skill test, computer literacy and individual interview with panel comprising of HR, Operations (Trade, Payment, Recon, Cards) officials.

    Negotiation

    Research for the company and market salary structure, this will help to negotiate and accept reasonable offer.

    The process took 1 week .Referred by one of the employees. Interviewed by 2 AVPs which was mainly CV based and behavioural. The interviewers were clear about the expectations from the job and told me that my experience was quite different from the job at hand. Rate your comfort level with SAS from 1-10. The interviewers were very friendly and 1 week down the line I was informed that I wasn't the top contender for the job.
