I interviewed at McDonald's (Chicago, IL)
It was short and sweet. There was an interview phone call then they asked me when I could come to work. They also asked about my availability to work in the morning shift.
- When can you start working?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at McDonald's (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2024
Interview process was pretty standard. Screening call, interview with the hiring manager, then interviews with a product manager, tech lead, and senior tech lead. Standard questions like tell me about yourself, tell me about a time you encountered a conflict, etc. Everyone was respectful and easy to get along with. It seems like there are questions that McDonald's wants them to ask as I got a lot of similar questions. Overall a pretty solid interview experience.
- How would you explain a technical concept to a person without a technical background?
- How do you go about developing a roadmap?
- When did you work through a technical issue with engineering?
- What does Agile mean to you?
- How do you handle a situation where you encounter an unexpected problem?
- How have you navigated a time where a stakeholder was difficult or didn’t agree with you?

Long & very detailed. They wanted to make sure I could handle the stress. On a daily basis. They also wanted to hear about my past experiences in the field and why I wanted to switch companies.

I interviewed at McDonald's (Naperville, IL)
It was a very straightforward interview with the manager. She didn't seem like she cared too much about the job. It paid very little too. The interview questions were very very easy.
