The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2008
Interview
First round, two interviews: 25 minute case, 25 minute fit/personal experience... one with a Senior Associate, one with an Engagement Manager
Second round: 4 interviews... three of them the same format as first round. The last one was a presentation. You have 45 minutes with a fact pack and an incomplete presentation to fill in the blanks, then a 45-minute "meeting" with your interviewer to discuss my findings.
Got a call with the offer that evening.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you have convinced someone to change their point of view based on your work.
After submitting my application in their portal. In about two days I recevied the link to do their Solve assessment, The assessment had three games. I was however not selected for the next rounds.
Recruiter Round - not that difficult: we dicusssed background, interview timeline, current visa stutus, and limited bahaviroal questions. And I was able to pass into the 1st round interview after this one.
Whole timeline: recruiter interview -> 1 month -> 1st round
The interview process was tricky - several technical and consulting questions were asked. Good preparation is needed to clear it on the basis of data analysis, problem solving and communication.
