      Client Support Specialist Interview

      May 8, 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Westwood, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meditech (Westwood, MA) in May 2011

      Interview

I went to the job fair at my school and signed up for an on-campus interview with Meditech. I met with a recruiter for that interview. It lasted about a half hour. She asked me typical interview questions which I was prepared for. I knew a lot about the company which really helped. It went well and I received a call the next day inviting me to a second interview in Canton, MA. I was told I had to give a 10-15 minute presentation on a health topic. I read reviews like this one online and was under the impression I'd be giving a presentation to several people. Instead, I met with one person (who will be my supervisor when I start the job in a few weeks). She was very nice. I gave the presentation and she explained the job in more detail. I was dressed in a suit. I gave her my three references and she asked me to write a few paragraphs about what my perception of the job was and why I thought I'd be good at it. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. My references told me that over the next week they were called and gave extensive reviews of my performance and capabilities. I was called exactly one week later and was offered the job.

      Interview

I applied for a different position posted online, heard from a recruiter that there was a issue with my resume upload. I instantly forwarded it to them only to hear back that the position is no longer hiring 10 minutes later. They asked if I would be interested in a different position and I agreed to explore it. After having a 30 minute phone interview I got scheduled for a zoom interview with the actual department. I had to have a 5-10 minute presentation prepared on anything healthcare related to present during the interview. The direct manager of the position was present, along with their boss, and then the department head as well. The application process is very thorough: they require college transcripts even if you recently weren’t in school, they sent a follow up interview question requiring a paragraph response about the interview, and contacted each of my references and could not progress my application without hearing from them.

      Interview

First interview was a traditional interview to discuss the role and my job experience. The interview ended with providing a writing sample. I went in for a second interview about 2 weeks later, which involved giving a presentation (prepared in advance) and meeting with a manager and director.

      Application

      Interview

Gave them my resume at a job fair and was called back a couple weeks later. The interview was in Framingham. I arrived 10 minutes prior and the recruiter came in about 18 minutes after the initial start time for the interview, no apology for tardiness either. She seem disinterested in me the whole time. She asked me basic questions from my resume about my previous jobs/internships and why I chose my major and that's about it. I get it, I don't have much work experience as I have just graduated from college but she could have seemed a little more interested. I sent her a thank you email and got no response as well.
