    1. Round :technical written round
      Basic oops conceps
    Testing basics
    SQL server 2012 specific questions
    Microsoft test management studio MTM
    total 87 questions was able so get 50 out of it. 50% candidates got filtered
    2 . round : asked to write programs on strings sql basics puzzles and also asked to write test plan for coffee jar (min 10 test cases).
    Asked about boundary value analysis v model verification validation.
    3. Round was a very tough coding round.
    Asked to design develop and test a shopping cart app in mvc also write ui automation test scripts produce at least 5 design documents. In 4 hrs

    Phone interview, followed by a full day of interviews on site. These included an HR overview interview, checklist of skillsets, multiple technical interviews (firmware, electrical engineering, analog & RF engineering, and mechanical engineering) and a behavioral interview. The technical interviews varied from asking to solve very specific engineering problems to much more open-ended questions about previous engineering assignments, problems, and solutions.

    on-campus interview at university then redmond. interviewer ended up disregarding groups I was interested in and had me interview with a group unrelated to what I had specified. campus interview was straightforward, redmond interview was difficult, but I was only starting my sophomore year at the time and had little programming experience. two one on one interviews with senior managers. bad chemistry with one and the claws came out on the questions. small whiteboard, small interview room. one interviewer typed on laptop the whole time. felt uncomfortable. didnt like it there

    This was a very standard interview process where I received a phone screen by HR, then a phone screen by an engineer, and then finally I was flown out to the location for around four interviews lasting an hour each. There was no lunch break as the interviews were from 1-5pm

    Initial Phone Screening with HR, followed by a technical phone screening
    1) HR - general background checking
    2) Phone Screen #1 - 20-30 mins - Introductions - Implement a binary tree using linked list - list all the test cases

    On site interviews 3 rounds and then i got asked to leave
    1) Implement a Sudoku application (check if the sudoku is solved)
    2) Design a phone book
    3) Given an array, locate where the break points are

    In retrospect, one should ask a lot of questions before attempting to solve the questions. They kinda expected you ask a lot of questions too

    An hour long phone interview first with basic problem solving questions (not much coding). And an on site interview at the Sydeny office (for a position in US). 4 interviews, all very technical. Did poorly in the first two. Very good in the third. The fourth interviewer had to make the call, in which I did decent. Whole process took around 3 months.

    On Campus: Attended a Microsoft Information meeting. Talked with the representatives after the presentations and gave them my resume. They contacted me for an on campus interview. The interview lasted 30 minutes I was invited to interview onsite at Microsoft Redmond, Washington. That was 6 hours of interviews in one day plus dinner.
