Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in August 2013.

Interview

I was interviewed by 5 people. The interview questions weren't hard, and I ended up asking more questions than I received. I got the distinct impression that none of the interviewers were very experienced with hiring people. There was a 2-month wait before they could actually hire me.

Interview Questions

  • 1. What types of content have you created?
    2. How do you determine your audience?
    3. How do you get customer data?   Answer Question

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in September 2009.

    Interview

I was an employee of Volt Information Services. They handled all of the direct interaction with Microsoft prior to my interview, up through the morning I reported to work.

When I showed up for the interview, I met with the hiring manager, the person who would be my editor, and another writer on the team.
