Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ministry of Education (Singapore (Singapore)) in December 2014.

Interview

There were several parts to the interview:
(i) Short essay on a controversial issue discussing teacher/student relationships e.g. intimacy limits/where to draw the lines etc
(ii) 5 min presentation on how would you conduct a lesson. Interviewers role-played as difficult students who would try and disrupt your thoughts e.g. teacher why do we need to listen to you when our exams are next week?
(iii) Interview proper on some standard questions and about the answers to the earlier essay
