The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mudano.

    Interview

I had a positive experience as the process was very sharp, quick and well organised. Initially I was approached by a recruiter who sold me the position at a firm that is driven by data and innovation. The first stage included a 1 hour phone interview. After approximately a week, I was invited to an interview at the HQ. I had to prepare a 15 min presentation on a selected topic relevant to data. My final interview took the same say and the next day I received a job offer.

    Data Consultant Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Mudano (Edinburgh, Scotland (UK)) in March 2018.

    Interview

The office was extremely welcoming and the interview process was very professional. Having the final interview with a member of senior management portrayed an element of care in how Mudano build their team, which I often find lacking in other firms. I also found in the final interview that I had ample opportunity to sell myself and define my career goals and aspirations to ensure that Mudano could offer me the correct support alongside ensuring I was right for the role.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mudano.

    Interview

Informal and collaborative. It was quite an enjoyable process and i can remember being excited before the interview. First interview was a technical interview whereby i was quizzed in verbal form how i would go about designing a solution of the nature that the interviewer described. The second round interview was more about how i would fit in the culture of the company and more about my character

    Researcher Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Mudano in March 2018.

    Interview

I was contacted by an external recruiter, who set up my initial 1:1 interview. After that, I gave a short presentation to a panel, and then had a final interview with the CEO and CPO. Until the final stages, all of the communications went through the external recruiter - which was sometimes a bit inefficient, but also meant that I knew exactly who to go to with any questions.

The process was flexible - Mudano worked around my schedule, which included a 3 week holiday (!) shortly after my initial interview and then a lengthy notice period. I got a good sense of what it would be like to work with the team at Mudano, and felt like I had the opportunity to demonstrate my skills as well.

The one challenging thing about the interviews was that the role description didn't seem to be 100% pinned down when the interview process started - so while it ultimately changed in ways that made it a more interesting role, it also meant that each round didn't completely prepare me for the next.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mudano (London, England (UK)) in August 2017.

    Interview

The initial phone screen asked about my past experiences, and also offered the first opportunity to ask questions about Mudano.
The second stage, a face to face interview, explored how I viewed current financial organisations, workplace technology & data as well as problem solving.
The final stage, gave me the opportunity to present my thoughts on Mudano's proposition, how I interpret the problem and ways of using data to solve it. The presentation led to a very interesting discussion with two of the founders on the future of data!

    Delivery Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mudano (London, England (UK)) in August 2018.

    Interview

I was approached by a recruiter via LinkedIn and embarked on the 3 stage interview process:
    1. A face to face interview which covered my CV and a discussion on the industry/points of interest
    2. A face to face 15 min presentation I prepared on my interpretation of the Mudano proposition, followed by challenging qs on this and my experience
    3. A final face to face with the Chief Customer Officer, which allowed for any final qs from my side and determine if I would be a good cultural fit

The whole process was very smooth and took about 3 weeks. All of the interviewers made me feel at ease throughout (although there were still challenging questions). As the process was managed via the recruiter, this did sometimes feel more impersonal and I didn't receive detailed feedback after each stage (since starting at Mudano I have discovered this was recorded by each interviewer, just not passed on).

Mudano is hiring top talent out there, but not only smart, they have to fit the company's culture and be nice, empathetic people too. Only brilliant AND nice people pass the cut. * Startup feeling. Mudano has a strong vision and is working hard on an ambitious long-term product that will change the industry. Working under this atmosphere with a clear purpose it's better than working in web agencies where employees are not normally engaged with the customer's project. Intrinsic motivation feels good. * Caring. Management and PMs care for their employees. "Ambitious" in London normally means "long hours in an open office, being exploited until you quit". In Mudano not, they want people to stay long-term, healthy work-life balance, you will be assigned a coach, and management asking often "how are you?".” – Full Review
