I went through a multi-stage interview process that included a technical interview and a subsequent interview with the hiring manager. The early stages were well organised and the interviewers were professional and engaging.
However, after reaching the final stage and being in contact with HR to arrange an in-person interview, all communication stopped without any explanation. Despite multiple follow-up attempts over the course of a month, I received neither a confirmation nor a rejection. The process simply went silent.
Reaching the final stage of a competitive hiring process and not receiving any formal outcome is unprofessional and disrespectful of candidates' time. A simple email to close the loop would have been sufficient.
Advice to company: Please ensure candidates are informed of the outcome of their application, regardless of the decision. Ghosting at an advanced stage damages your employer brand.
