    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NHS Human Services (Philadelphia, PA) in January 2016.

    Interview

I applied for a transfer within NHD from an outpatient therapist position to that of clinical supervisor using their on-line portal. The 7 candidates chosen to be interviewed were all known to the clinic’s director, as we were Master's level Fee-for-Service therapists within his local clinic. The position was posted in-house for approximately 3 weeks. Interviews were conducted over a 2 week period and the decision was made shortly thereafter. The candidate who was chosen had worked at the clinic one year longer than I and had more experience running therapy groups than I have.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked me to tell a "story about" such things as when I had implemented a vision for expanding a program I had worked in previously, and how I had handled a problem.   Answer Question

    High-Level Position Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Lafayette Hill, PA
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at NHS Human Services (Lafayette Hill, PA).

    Interview

The interview process, initially, was very good. Great HR people and internal recruiter who was very approachable and like able. The second interview was kind of cold and did not help me understand what they were looking for, made it difficult to prove I was a good fit.

    Interview Questions

    • None really. After the initial interview, the follow up discussion was very awkward and the interviewers did not seem to really understand what they needed or were interviewing for.   Answer Question

    Administrative Assistant Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Somerset, PA

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NHS Human Services (Somerset, PA).

    Interview

The interview was to be at 10:30, I showed up at 10:20. No one was there. I waited a few minutes, still no one. At about 10:28 I get a call from one of the interviewers saying that they were running late and would be there soon. They ended up being 15 minutes late for their own interview. When they get there I notice that they have McDonald bags and cups. Had they not gone to McDonalds they probably would have been on time. We go inside and the one interviewer runs to the restroom. The other interviewer searches for a pen. I ended up giving her one of mine. They proceed to tell me about the position and start debating about whether I would qualify for their Health Reimbursement Program, something they should have discussed prior to my interview. The questions were pretty basic and were mainly technology related to assess if you know how to use a computer. The main interviewer did not even review my resume prior to the interview. They were VERY disorganized.

    Financial Analyst Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Harrisburg, PA
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

The process took a week. I interviewed at NHS Human Services (Harrisburg, PA) in November 2009.

    Interview

Had two physical interviews on two separate days. First was with the Department Director and Sr. Financial Analyst. The other was with Corporate VP of Finance. Both interviews consisted of straightforward questions about the previous job experience and professional knowledge. The Corporate VP of Finance seemed to lean more for an accountant type person than a person who had a financial analytical experience. Ultimately, after two weeks since my interview, they chose a person who had almost exactly the same job experience as a Financial Analyst in the health care provider firm

    Interview Questions

    • In general terms, one question was basically about how much accounting job experience I had in the past though the interview was for a financial analyst position.   1 Answer
