    Average Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at NHS (Birmingham, England (UK)) in December 2013.

    Interview

Group exercise with a number of tasks the whole group had to say how they would go about doing them in a set time. We then had to prepare a feedback to the interviewers. The individual interview with 2 managers. Interview questions were standard for management asking to explain experience, skills and performance. The whole experience was very good

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

No. I was verbally offered top of the salary band as I was taking a salary cut even at the top salary. This was confirmed verbally by HR. However when my offer letter arrived it showed the bottom of the band £10k difference. When queried it was because my experience was not in the nhs. My manager put in a written appeal to HR which delayed my recruitment by 5weeks and this was declined. (I had previously asked for redundancy from my previous position on the strength of a verbal offer from what I felt was a reputable organisation). Lessons learnt!

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NHS (London, England (UK)) in January 2015.

    Interview

It was straight forward and mainly competency based. Some questions were difficult and challenging but I was able to answer as normal and by linking to my work based experience. The interview was conducted by two panel members. There are also times when you have to do a presentation but I was not asked to do so.
