Internal Wholesaler Interview

Anonymous Employee in Brooklyn, NY
Accepted Offer
Neutral Experience
Easy Interview

Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Neuberger Berman (Brooklyn, NY) in October 2013.

Interview

Typically 2 or 3 rounds. 1) In person interview with that manager and several internals. 2) phone call with the Divisional Managers 3) Phone call with the head of sales. Nothing really too difficult, they expect you to know the basics of NB, be up to date on the markets, and most improtantly find out if you are a good culture fit with mostly softball questions. It's more conversational than an interview.

    Application

The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Neuberger Berman (New York, NY) in April 2010.

    Interview

The hiring manager will try and make you feel very comfortable, to see what you reveal about yourself. They will ask you specifics of why you think will succeed in this competitive industry. What makes you different? They will want to know, what motivates you, how you handle rejection and your career goals. Not very difficult interview process.
