A time I dealt with a difficult customer was when I rang out this woman and she was purchasing a few items. At the end her total came to $50 and some change. She wanted to be exact with the cash amount and she was short one penny exactly, My line was out of the que line at Michaels and we were very short staffed. She offered to leave her purse and car keys so she could meet her husband to get a penny. I politely told her I couldn't accept but would be more than happy to hold her items at my register while she meets her husband. She had at attitude immediately after hearing this and decided to dump her purse out at my register and search for a penny. Other customers were extremely unhappy and a lady finally came up and slammed a penny down in front of her. No one said a word.
